Green Pea Pesto

A healthy alternative to regular pesto… our Green Pea Pesto is made from a few delicious ingredients that kids are sure to love!

What you’ll need…


  • 2 bags frozen peas
  • 2/3 cup organic olive oil
  • 2 garlic gloves
  • 2 teaspoons kosher salt
  • 1 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • ½ teaspoon ground black pepper

Tools needed:

  • Food processor or blender
  • Spatula
  • Measuring cups/spoons

Step 1: Put defrosted peas, garlic, salt, pepper and parmesan cheese into the food processor.

Step 2: Blend on low and slowly pour the olive oil in through the top.

Step 3: Use spatula to push the mixture down the sides, and blend well.

Step 4: IF MAKING WITH ORECCHIETTE: Cook pasta in a pot of boiling water for 5 minutes and strain.

Step 5: Toss cooked pasta and fresh pea pesto. Grate extra parmesan over it for taste!

Step 6: To warm up pesto after refrigeration: Heat pesto on low heat, stirring frequently to avoid burning.
