Sneaky Mama Trick #9: Make Your Own Breadcrumbs

Making your own breadcrumb couldn’t be easier! We do it all of the time… for many reasons!

1) Store bought breadcrumb can be expensive (especially organic and gluten-free)

2) It’s really fun and easy to make

3) You can use any herbs you like – and omit the ones you don’t!

4) Homemade breadcrumbs have less salt (or none)

How to make them:

Simply take stale (not moldy) bread and pop it into a food processor – if you don’t have stale bread you can toast or bake the bread until lightly browned – not dark!

Then, add your favorite dried herbs (parsley, oregano, rosemary, thyme, etc.), a pinch of salt, then pulse until you create breadcrumb!

Use gluten-free bread for gluten-free breadcrumb :)
