Homemade Pizza (from scratch)!

Ingredients:

4 cups flour, plus more for rolling
1 teaspoon sugar
1 envelope instant dry yeast
2 teaspoons kosher salt
1 ½ cups WARM water
2 tablespoons olive oil + 1 extra tablespoon for the large bowl
Your favorite pizza toppings

Tools needed:

Measuring cups and spoons
Rubber spatula
1 medium bowl
1 large bowl
Plastic wrap

How to make it:

Step 1: Use your hands to combine the bread flour, sugar, yeast and kosher salt in the medium bowl.

Step 2: Add the water and 2 tablespoons of the oil and mix with hands until the dough forms into a ball. (If the dough is sticky, add additional flour, 1 tablespoon at a time, until the dough comes together in a solid ball. If the dough is too dry, add additional water, 1 tablespoon at a time.)

Step 3: Scrape the dough onto a lightly floured surface and gently knead into a smooth, firm ball.

Step 4: Grease the large bowl with the extra tablespoon of olive oil, add the dough, cover the bowl with plastic wrap and put it in a warm area to let it double in size, about 1 hour.

Step 5: Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and divide it into 2 equal pieces.

Step 6: Cover each with a clean kitchen towel or plastic wrap and let them rest for 10 minutes before baking or freezing.

Step 7: Preheat oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. Roll out dough to approximately 14×14 inch circle.

Step 8: Adult ONLY: Place dough on pizza stone and bake for 5 minutes.

Step 9: Adult ONLY: Remove and poke with a small fork all over dough (approximately 10 times)

Step 10: Top with your favorite toppings (like Sneaky Mama Sauce) and bake for another 8 – 10 minutes until toppings (like cheese) are bubbling up. Tip: only use about 2 – 3 tablespoons of sauce – it should be very thin, or you’ll end up with soggy pizza.
